What are people thoughts on Caterham Seven VX1600. Seems like a good car to start in. I Live in the south of France and have some great and famous driving roads right in my back yard, but they are quite steep and very twisty. Will it be enough car.

Depends on past experience really. I have one and have done for four years. They 'only' have 100bhp and live axle suspension but as you say it's a great entry to Caterham ownership, and it's still a near 200bhp/ton car which will do 0-60 in probably 6 seconds...
Some might say they aren't powerful enough but on the right tyres the power/grip ratio is perfect and that fantastic chassis can be enjoyed at modest speeds.

Thanks for that. It does appear to be a little under clubbed but for the roads I want to drive it on, that might not be a bad thing. And seeing as the car tends to be slightly cheaper than other like modles, I can afford to splash out on some good shoes for it.
