I've got the Philips 80% or what ever was the best at the time in my headlights. Made a difference. H4 I think.
Started with 7" lights, then downsized to 5 3/4" lights and then replaced the lenses with Cibe units after a stone took one of mine. Don't think they'll get much better with the traditional headlight look to them.

Aren't MOT's being stricter against this retro fit? And don't Xenon lights need auto leveling lights and self cleaning lights? Plus a wacking great ballast.I'll let you know how it goes and if it's worth it.

2) Possibly. I always ensure the headlights are aligned/checked after fitting the kit.
3) I've gone for the thin ballast option and extension leads.
I've fitted this kit to several other vehicles over the past 9 years with no problems with the Police or at MOT time.
After all this is is a SAFETY upgrade so that's got to be a good thing.

In 2002-4 a large number of us converted to the Phillips Clear Blue white H4's which work very well.
The problem is in a Se7en you're sitting 1/2m above the floor, so projecting light w/o dazzling oncoming cars is almost impossible.
I love the Xenon's in my Impreza but can't see how I'd not permanently blind someone if they were in my SV.

I just got some PIAA HE270's from the Demon Tweeks Ebay Outlet. Very bright, very impressed.
£35 got me 2 x H4 P43T which draw 60/55 but give 110/100W output, plus some new sidelight bulbs. Included Del.
They appear to be around 3x the brightness of the standard bulbs I had in my 5 3/4" lamps.

Yes; they're fitted and the difference is amazing !!!
However, I have realised that alignment is now critical as they need to be set at an MOT station in the 'lowest' position on their test equipment otherwise irate drivers flash me as they're obviously getting dazzled.
The other slight issue (which I hope to fix tonight) is the headlights turn off completely momentarily on occasion when flicking from main/full beam back to dipped beam, but the HIDS manufacturers/suppliers have sent me two new (different) power leads which should rectify things - it's something to do with the switches/wiring in Caterhams apparently.
