I have a CSR200 with a 280hk 2.3 Duratec and have some fuel related problems.
First problem is fuel surge on a long right hander if the fuel level is below half tank. I know it sounds strange because the fuel pump is on the left side of the tank. But I'm quite sure that is what happens.
The second problem is that the CSR200 standard fuel pump is a bit marginal. If the alternator stops charging the fuel pump can't keep up on the long straight and the engine runs lean. (Yes, that is as bad as it sounds and has now happened twice!)
Anyone have a clever solution for a more robust fuel system?
Swirl pot? Tank balls? Uprated pump? What else?

we had same problem change your fuel tank breather valve for a Ali one with ball bearing in it our race car ran lean at half tank because valve was sticking and creating a vacume working aghanst the fuel pump.
Also we changed to an uprated pump we fitted one for a cosworth escort the ones caterham use are marginal according to the importer also check you injector loom they go brittle with age ours was faulty there only £ 28 from caterham

I would change the valve is yours the older plastic type ? if so they are prone to stick and create a vacume when when the fuel level gets below half tank, We had this problem and we only solved it when the car was on the rolling road we saw the fueling run lean at high revs
My engineer is away at the moment when he gets back i will let you know the make and model number of fuel pump that we fitted. Its a vast improvement when you turn on the ignition you can hear the pump charge for about 5 seconds
