Opinions on replacing SS guards with Carbon guards
Discussion
Thinking of replacing my stainless steel stone guards (second set) with carbon stone guards. All the rest of the trim on my yellow 7 is chrome/polished aluminium but I'm fed up with the dinks and dents from stone chips. Was thinking of going for 8" & 6" x 13 minilites in the future perhaps with anthracite spokes and diamond cut rims to go with the theme. Anyone gone down a similar route as I dont want to ruin the look?
Have to agree with Guy.
Bought my 7 with 17k on the clock and at 20K decided to tart it up with new stoneguards (amongst other things). Kept these until I rebuilt the 7 at 57K and then replaced them. Now up to 82k and yes they show signs of wear but I just think it gives the car a nice patina.
If I can be bothered then they still polish up quite nicely.....
