Why do posts that help like minded Caterham users get items they may need for a better price, with no profit for the poster, get deleted as being advertising?

How do such posts break any rules???

I ask as my recent post on a bulk buy for spherical bearings, with no profit for anyone, got deleted, and as the message you receive form PH is a 'do not reply' message it's difficult to ask why...

On the basis the said message broke none of PH's own rules, why was it deleted?
If it did break any rules, which ones - as sit wasn't advertising!
