South or Midlands

I'm seriously considering building my own Caterham and thinking about a Roadsport 140 or Supersport. I'm planning a trip to one of the showrooms, but being about equidistant from Crawley and Leicester I'm wondering which would be better to visit. The old place in Caterham would have seemed like a no brainer, but is Crawley quite the same?
Basically, I'm hoping to see/drive the different models and talk about options, but can't see what's available at and what differetiates the two sites.
Any knowledge shared would be gratefully received!

I found both sites to be very helpful

There were more cars at south to jump in and out of though

Call ahead and make an appointment with Dominic at Caterham Crawley, that way he can allocate time to spend with you. Trust me, this is very worthwhile. Oh and enjoy

From experience, you'll get great service at either site though has been said above, 'South' usually carry larger stock levels so may be able show you a greater variety of options?

I bought mine privately, but hired a car from Caterham South for the day and had an excellent experience. They were only too happy to show us around and go over the various options.

I visited the factory in Dartford for a service too and was given a full tour of the floor and a free taxi back to the hotel we were staying in.

I have an amazing knack of always getting stuck in multi-hour traffic jams at the Dartford crossing when travelling to/from the Dartford factory or south sales office. If you have a choice, midlands might be less traffic stress?

I've just left Midlands after finalising my spec with Greg. Nice young man.

Work your route out before you go if you choose them as sat nav was useless...it hadn't a clue where it was! Some lovely cars in there. Can't wait for mine to arrive.

Greg's an enthusiastic fella. I like the setting of CC Midland, all countrified with its duck pond.
I'm glad you've moved the process along and I hope the wait isn't too painful.

Paid the second deposit today so it will now go into build. Greg wasn't sure whether it was changeable at this stage but he called me as I was driving home to say the changes were allowed. I should be able to drive the car away from the Midlands in June, my car is build week 19.
