On the look out for another 7. At the uppermost limit of my budget (and a bit more)I am keen on a Duratec R400 I've seen but at the other extreme, I'm also thinking of an HPC again. I love the simplicity and robustness.

However, I'd be using it for a couple of track days a year and wondered if it was still possible to get an HPC with Webbers under the db limit for tracks.

Anyone use theirs in this way still?

Cheers
Mike

Hi I've got jenvey ITBS and cannot just run the foam filter which passes static but fails on drive by (Brands)so I have to airbox it for track days, and now have a BTB ex system so thats sorted too, but it is running a K20 Honda thats likes to rev!

My hpc on webers was 98.5db at 4000rpm--that was just doing it in a car park with a meter I had bought--exhaust (7"can) not the problem-- all the noise was inlet induced.

My HPC was 117dB on driveby at 2m - I think you were there that day....

Get a Gay Series. They are much better.

no airbox--two vx hpcs we tried--one with k&ns mildly tuned (head/cams) that came out at the 98db---the other car was standard but with an itg foam filter that was about 96db.
