So 2.5 years since my interest was first spiked by EVO's review of the Caterham Supersport, and after 2 weekend hires and a Caterham Drift day, this weekend I am planning on collecting my first Caterham (weather depending).

Will update with pictures once collected driving

Fantastic. I look forward to seeing pictures and tales of your first adventures.
Did you book a place on GTKY7 at CC Mids? I'm booked in for the am session.

Perfect timing with the weather improving smile

3 years ago I picked up my Seven around this time after it went through IVA.
I had a brilliant summer despite the weather that year, have fun!

The plan was that mine would be ready on 22nd of this month, however, the new steering column out of stock (having Momo removable wheel fitted) and the thought of taxing the car for the whole of March when there's only a week of it left, the tightwad in me has opted for collection on April 1 - let's hope it's a prank free day.

Cheers all.

Will post back with some pics and first thoughts after it's tucked up in my garage. Got a nice 150 mile cross-country drive home to get acquainted with it first driving

So tomorrow morning I am collecting my first Caterham (like many others this weekend!). Bag is all packed with essentials - hat, gloves, scarf - and hopefully some not-required items too - socket set, tow rope and zip ties. Also my taxi to the collection location is also sorted...thumbup

Gonna be a good day cool

Just a quick note to say that I got MY Caterham (smile) back home safely yesterday. 155 miles of purely cross country roads that took about 5 hours all in. Drove back through sunshine, showers, heavy rain, hail and finally large amounts of standing water.

But made it back in one piece. Was hilarious putting it in the garage where my Mercedes usually sits - there's soooo much more room in there now laugh

Also, just before work this morning, I'll admit to sneaking into the garage for a cheeky peek lick

G, good to hear you had a fun journey back. Sound like you had to bear all the elements as I did! I also found the time to read your aticle in low Flying whilst on the train to pick my 7 up - great read!
