I don't mean the Aero screens. I mean from a different car.

A more aerodynamic one which might even let you drive at high speed without the doors (or with halfdoors) and without the side wind deflectors?

I suppose it would involve a custom scuttle and bonnet to get something like a 45° angle.

Is this just silly, poinless, not doable? Would it look horrible? Or has someone actually tried it?

Just wondering :-)

Not tried it, but you often see Stryker kit cars with very angled windscreens - but the driver area looks slightly longer than a Caterham to give enough room for it:

Yes, the Elise windscreen looks nice. But I don't know how much they cost. Perhaps something more in the British Leyland, caravan style of things would be more suitable? Maybe from a Ford Escort or a Lada...

I hope the Elise doesn't weigh 300-400 kg more than a Caterham just because of the windscreen though. biggrin
