Okay, so it's time to do the A-Frame bushes on my 2004 De Dion Roadsport, the question is.......

Can I do them with the car on ramps or does the suspension need to be "unloaded" i.e on axle stands?

Is there a best way to do the job or is it as straight forward as it looks?

All advice welcomed.......

I would support the front wheels on ramps and the rear chassis on axle stands. The trailing arms and shocks will still locate the DeDion so you can just unbolt the A frame.

Keep a note of where the spacer washers come from otherwise you'll have to measure up to make sure the DeDion is central.

Removing the old bushes will be the worst part, a big press is the best tool.

Having used a big press to push out most of mine, but then finding some I had forgot and not having the press local, I used a hole saw cutter. Drilled out the rubber. Then inserted a hacksaw blade through and hacksawed out the metal sleeve. Wasn't too hard really.

Or two sockets and a vice can do it.
