Still new to this Caterham 7 World, but really enjoying the drives in my 1995 SuperSport. I would like more power, though.

I allready have a 1,8 VVC engine in my garage. Talked to DVA about doing an upgrade, but Dave doesn't have time before next year! I would like to go dry sump as well - so:
- Can you recommend a dry sump system, that is not too costly?
- Or is the Apollo anti caviation system nearly as good at the job (I do most fast road driving, but plan also for some track days)
- Or maybe one of you guys are upgrading and have a fast 1.6 / 1.8 in a good condition including dry sump, which you wan't to sell?

Thanks again for any help to this newbee

/ Morten

What kind of power levels and type of tyres are you intending to run?

I was aming for 160-190 hp, maybe more. I am running 13" minilites (BUT R500 6 front and 8 rear also on the wish list). I am at the current power level very satisfied with my ADVAN A048 tyres, which are 185 mm in the front and 205 mm at the rear.

Tricky. Personally I'd be happy with Apollo tank at 160. But at 190 with sticky tyres and track days, I'd go for DS.

Mine's got a smudge over 160bhp and I have to admit I wasn't happy with the Apollo which is why I changed to a DS, although I know of lot of people who are OK with it. I fitted a Mech OPG around a year ago and it highlighted the pressure drops in right hand bends, which I found detracted from my driving pleasure as I was always looking at the gauge! I also found getting the oil level exactly right quite difficult to do because of the ste dipstick. So in the end, I bit the bullet and fitted the CC Kit this last winter. The photos of my install are on the thread that's linked to above. If you have the money to spend on it, it's well worthwhile smile
