I am having the same dilema with 15" CR500's 195/45/15.
They are hard to get damn expensive and imo, not very good for grip, not as good as Toyo 888 anyway.
I like the 15's and need to stay on 195/45 or 185/50
What are the Toyo T1s like? 888's are not available in the correct size and 195 will not clear the wing stays.
Do I have to go to 13's?

Currently running CR500' s on a 13 inch 6 at the front and 8 at the back setup which now seem to be unavailable.
Have you tried BMTR? http://bmtrracing.com/R300XXX said:

Yes using both zzr and zzs and they are much better than the cr500, as an all rounder go for the zzs as they are great in the wet and still very good in the dry,I have Toyo T1R's on my car. 185/55/15 on the front, 225/50/15 on the rear.
I have 260bhp of feeble K Series power and cannot get the backs to break traction on just snap throttle unless in 1st gear.
The front runs wide if pushed hard.
These are no match for 13" CR500s, but they are a good all round road tyre. Heres the thrill - a full F&R set is only £200, I've done 4000 miles on them, including 7000 hairpins in the Alps and they still look almost new.
They were unbeliveably crap fpor the first 500 miles through as the release agent took ages to clear.
If you drive in the rain they clear water and grip far far better than a CR500.
