Dry sump Oil Breather

The little plastic cap on top of the collection bottle has no vent pipe, and when sitting stationary you can see/smell oil vapour, can I route a vent pipe out of the top of the cap and run it down the bulkhead to vent below engine or will it cause issues?

If it is a Duratec, the the catch tank should have a hole made in the top for a hose that vents to the bottom of the car.

That's how my dry sumped k series is.
