Great first experience to be remembered
and welcome to sevening.

Now I just need to look at accessories, joining a local club and looking at track days - once I've bought a quieter exhaust
Not sure where in Hampshire you are, but there are several active Areas of the L7C down that way Map, and Nick is also reviving the West Hants Area this year as well, so plenty going on (once you've joined the L7C you can get involved with as many Areas as you like, so don't feel obliged to choose one specific Area/meet

I live just outside Havant, just north of Portsmouth (like most of the country is I know
).
) and would certainly be interested in finding out more about local clubs. I've found out there is Solent Sevens which I think will be the closest to me. I will also look at L7C membership.Great. Martin & Jo run the Solent Sevens group, which is also the South Hampshire Area group of the L7C.
Near you, there is a Club trip to the Isle of Wight in April ( post #29 here has the details) which is a really friendly social event (you wouldn't go for the roads
) with usually around 100 sevens from all over the country, so a great way to meet up with others; and look around all the upgrade options available
PM me if you join the Club and decide to go, and I'll introduce you to a few local members if you don't know anyone).

Congrats on your purchase. I was looking at that red SS online last week and thought it looked nice.

So now you've experienced how much more of an event a Caterham is to something like a 911 or an M3, get used to the car for a few months and then pop an aero screen on. It increases the intensity to the same degree all over again. You'll LOVE it

I've watched the video from ghibbett a few times, it made the peashooter exhaust a must have for me, I like it loud.

Congrats on the purchase! I'm also a fan of the 272 in a peashooter equipped supersport. I'll keep an eye open for you
Hi David, thank you. I was out for most of the day on that road and the A32. I did wave at another 7 (I think it was bare aluminium with a green nose) on the Alton Road near Froxfield, having just driven up Stoner Hill. Was it anyone on here?
Now home, with the car washed and tucked up in the garage and looking online at what to buy, I will definitely get a half hood as having played with the full hood this morning it really is a bit of a faff. The tunnel bag from either SBFS or Caterham seems like an excellent idea. Also thinking of a shower cap, not just for the obvious use but also for when leaving the car parked in a car park for a while - is this a daft idea - what do you guys do?

My main concern re the aero screen is whether or not i'd then feel compelled to wear a helmet, as I don't fancy a stone in the face at speed kicked up from the car in front. I'm not that good looking to start with so a missing tooth or dented forehead would put me on a par with Shrek

We've got a half hood, tunnel bag and a long nose shower cap. Half hood is definitely a great purchase & I only bother with the shower cap when it's parked up at home as the garage I rent isn't completely watertight. That said I will probably take it to Le Mans as we all know it ''always rains at Le Mans".Now home, with the car washed and tucked up in the garage and looking online at what to buy, I will definitely get a half hood as having played with the full hood this morning it really is a bit of a faff. When we park in public car parks, I just remove the steering wheel and master cut off key and leave it at that. The vast majority of people are sensible enough to look but not touch!
Next on my list is a hood bag and a track day compatible silencer.
