Forgive me if this has been discussed previously, but are Caterham UK sales on the slide?

I’m not a Caterham owner, but I was having a look at the HOWMANYLEFT website.
Apparently there were 41 new registrations in the 1st three quarters of 2014. The total for 2013 was 153, and for 2012 it was 195. Assuming there is not a surge of new registrations in the last quarter of 2014, this suggests sales are falling.

Am I misreading the statistics, or is there a problem that I’ve not heard about?

I'm not scare mongering, it's just that I've not heard about problems with Caterham Cars, only the F1 team.

Going by the order time I think they are building as many as they want to.

A lot go for export thus the upcoming renumbering.

There has been a downturn in new registrations in the UK, but the figures for Westfield look dismal in comparison.

I also believe that Caterham build and sell more race cars than road cars....

The current owner is more focused on the export market than has been the case in the past so maybe not a surprise that UK registrations are down. I think overall production is probably the same, if not more, than previous years. But it does put in perspective how small the market is.

I wouldn't believe the figures, Caterham sell 45+ Academy cars in the UK each year and all have to be road registered, then add in the general road cars and it has to be more than that
