Fitting C400 carbon air filter cover
Discussion
I've managed to get my hands on one of the C400 carbon air filter covers that fits over the Pipercross foam filter which is used on the Roller barrel set-up on Duratec engines.
The cover is connected to the backplate by using 3 slightly longer Dzus quarter turn fasteners across the top edge.
However there is a 4th connector lug centrally on the bottom edge of the cover but the backplate doesn't extend far enough down for a Dzus fastener clip to be located which would allow the Dzus fastener to catch onto.
The cover fits well with just the top 3 but there is slightly movement in the bottom edge because it isn't connected in any way.
For the folk that have this air filter cover how have you connected the bottom of the cover ?
Or do you just rely on the top 3 connections and forget about the bottom one?
