Hi.
Does anyone know, or have a picture of, an installed one way breather valve?

Does it fit on the tank, head or half way?

I've got a 1600 SS engine fitted to a MG, which sufferes from a oil pressure delay on starting. The car has an Apollo tank.

Is think automotive still the best place to get one?

Thanks

Mine used to be fitted at the head end of the breather pipe .

I have a vague recollection that the usefulness of the one way valve got debunked at some point. Anyone actually know anything about it?

It's very effective as it prevents tank drain down.

It does make a massive improvement to oil pressure on startup.

I've a picture on my rebuild thread, I'll post a picture this evening.

My start up pressure is still slight delayed. Would this indicate anything?

Ignoring the part dismantled state, here is mine.

Ordered, delivered and fitted. So far, seems to be a huge improvement.

Think automotive very helpfull.

On another point, the engine has a metalic "clack" over 2000 revs when under load, which dissapears when temp reaches 75-80c. It seems to be once every revolution

Any thoughts?
