I hope that's not the same Flux who paid out on a claim against me without even checking to see if I was involved in a collision let alone who was at fault, back-dated my premium to boot, and then claimed that if I didn't pay up I'd be flagged as having been refused cover.
They're like those big things on chains that ships use to not get carried away on the tide.......but with a silent "W".
I'm now with Frank Pickles.....by 'eck.
First year they misquoted (in my favour). As a result, the following year there was a seemingly massive hike.
I queried this, they spotted Year 1's error, admitted it was their mistake and reduced the increase in premium to lessen the impact.
They also don't have utterly contrived print media adverts showing a middle aged bloke with green wellies leaning on a Range Rover claiming to be their "4x4 Specialist", some young business totty type scowling from the driver's seat of a BMW 3-Series as their "Executive Car Specialist" and a spotty chav with a backwards baseball cap and a Pug 106 posing as their "Modified Car Specialist".

Just coming up to two years since Imbuilt my 7.
Originally Iminsured via MSM, last year used A-plan (and have done my 911 and taken another policy via them since) but am likely to renew via Lloyd & Whyte.
All based on price as have had no claims to comment on how they handle such things.
See http://www.lotus7.club/blogs/insurance-quotes-summ... for the main options.

Hi
Thanks for the quick reply
What is Flux like to use ?
What was your reason to change to them if you don't mind me asking
MSM were good. Free windscreen replacement, well £70, but they waived the excess if you can undo the 4 bolts yourself and fit it.Thanks for the quick reply

Flux came through cheaper one year so I switched. Don't think I had the same windscreen cover. Someone hit my car in this time, they outsource to an accident company who delivered me BMW 330 convertible out pretty quick. I could pick my garage, they paid for it all, no excess from me.
It did turn into a bit of a ball ache, but that was the 3rd party and their questions being passed on, not Adrian Flux as such.
I haven't been with any other company as A: I was too young to start with for many <25 and B: I used it daily as a sole car, putting 8K or so a year on it. C: It lived outside.
It was mostly age to start with, but the other circumstances came into play a few time.

I guess as probably one of the larger brokers they will attract a larger share of vocal critics.
I like to think good of people and companies, but AF seem to repeatedly screw up. They are not large, they are specialist. But I can only accurately speak of my own experience which was unspeakably bad.Bert
Specialist? Hardly. Look in any Land Rover magazine and there's an advert for Flux, claiming to be "4x4 specialists".....look in any Mini magazine and there's an advert where they also claim to be "Mini specialists".....VW magazines, yep, they'll be in there selling their wares as VW "specialists"....Ford magazines......well, you can probably fill in the rest.
They're about as special as the green triangles in a tin of Quality Street.

te years ago and by all account still are. Just read the story in SP&L about the guy sorting out the estate of his recently passed on son and AF. What morons they are.
