As many of you know, Mad Hatter organises a yearly bash at Llandow.
He does all the organisation, and gains nothing from it - all payments for the 3 days are made direct to Llandow circuit at cost.

Anyway, payments are now due for those that have signed-up.

See: http://www.7-dna.com/forums/index.php?action=vthre...
(The end of the thread)

This is an open day, and many that come are from the Lotus 7 Club.

However, the idiots that call themselves 'The Management' of the 7 Club have deleted the threads associated with this open track day, so many that want to come, and originally added their names to the list, may miss the payment requirement!

I have avoided being negative about the 7 Club management - especially as I have bugger all to do with the club any more - but this is just ridiculous...

It really does bring their stupidity back into solid focus!

Not very helpful of them. I wonder if some of the L7C members going could ask for it to be reinstated just for this event.

Hi, I'm reasonable new to the caterham forum as recently purchased my SLR. Just done my 1st track day with it couple days ago at Coombe & it was great, now addicted!
I was wandering if there was any more space for either days for your track day, sounds good.
Cheers,
Stuart

Yeah, not that helpful at all - and I really can't see the reason behind their action.
I thought the club was there for the benefit of the members, and potentially causing members to miss the payment schedule, and therefore miss the track day, is not in the members benefit at all!

But then I have not understood the 'teams' attitude for some time - hence leaving the club after over 20 years of membership...

I'm talking to the club and helping Mad Hatter fix this. It will all come good.

I'm always ironic... but I really have avoided commenting on the L7C management for some time.

However, under what circumstance is deleting a thread that was for the benefit of the club members the right thing to do?

Utter stupidity.

I appreciate what TeaBag is trying to do to sort the situation, but there should never have been a situation to sort!

Then why not give your perspective to avoid folk making assumptions?

I would love to be proved wrong, and shown that the associated threads have not been deleted, so please, do prove me wrong...

I'm bouncing this back to the top as there are still a few L7C members that originally signed-up that have not yet made contact with Llandow or Hatter.

I'm also assuming that I've not been proven wrong, and the various threads have indeed been deleted from the L7C forum...

Hi

I did send Carl an email re my places on Friday and Saturday as I've managed to triple book that weekend and, apparently, the track day is the least important (so I've been told anyway). Therefore, I need to cancel my places which is a shame as I was really looking forward to going this year.
