Color for CSR?
Discussion
Hi all,
sold my SV a few weeks ago and now, I´m in the middle of buying a CSR200.
Car has only 4000mls on the clock and will be rebuild with a new frame after a light accident.
Spec is already clear, as the car has all the features I want (6speed Gearbox, LSD, Classic dashboard in carbonfibre,...).
What I am not sure about: the color.
To be seen between all the grey, black and silver Audis, BMWs, etc, I´d like to get a bright color.
So for weeks, I´m scanning the internet for images, but the more I look, the more uncertain I get...
It seems, that for a bright color, a good contrast is important, so I ordered front and rear wings in Carbon Fibre.
Choice is going in the direction orange or green.
Generally, I like Ballistic Orange, but I constantly get told, that it won´t look good on a SV/CSR, as the dimensions are different to a S3.
I like the following pics but I am unsure about what color it is.

Is this Lotus Lava Orange?
Is that the same color as the Caterham 485 press car here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/66302535@N03/sets/72...
Next question:
What color is the green 485 on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/66302535@N03/sets/72...

Is it the same color as the Caterham 360 press car?

Is Lotus Burnt Orange the same as Caterham Lamborghini Orange?

The colors look so different on every picture...
Any advice you can give?
Regards
Chris

The Caterham press 485 is a Lambo colour, Arancio Argos.
I sprayed my CSR that colour about 18 months ago, I think it looks good, more red than orange in some light.
Caterham sold the car for me last summer, you should be able to find the pics on their website, or just ring Dominic at CC South and sure he'll dig some out.
Lotus Candy Red could be another unusual option, depends how sure you are of your sexuality.
Too many paint colours make your choice so difficult, why not stick to a manufacturer i.e. Lotus or Lambo and limit yourself or you will literally spend hours and hours......
Good luck
