Ignition switch failure ?
Discussion
After having fought a while with the well known hot start problem of k series (solved by changing the solenoid and envelopping it into a thermal insulating sheet), it seems that now I'm facing another electrical problem.
CAR : 1,6 Rover CDX Roadsport Limited Edition 2009 (special edition using the last Rover engines still on stock), equipped with master switch and button start.
Few weeks ago suddenly the engine would go on after having switched off the key (this still happens now, but not regularly, just now and then, no matter if the radiator fan is running or not).
The same day this happend for the first time, the engine stopped twice during the run (once of course in the middle of a roundabout).
Moreover sometime I can not start the engine (when I turn the key to the second position, the fuel pump is not engaged - no clik from the MFU), then I have to try a couple of times and then the pump is engaged (at least so far !)
Any idea ?
Ignition switch failure ?
Or just an electrical contact ?
Any suggestions are most welcomed, unfortunately I live in an area (Southern Austria) with no Caterham owners around.
Thanks a lot

The running on after switching off is quite normal, especially when the engine is hot or has been driven hard. Its is caused (seems like you already know this) by the fan spinning and generating current back into the ignition. There is a fix you can apply by re-wiring a few bits, if you search around you'll find some instructions.
Seems like you have other, unrelated problems though..

Yes, the fail could be in many places, even in the MFU.
But I do not think that the MFU could influence the problem of engine running further and for me it is not by chance that all happened for the first time on the same day.
Hopefully someone had the same problems alltogether and can share his/her experience.
Thank you very much anyway for your help !
