Wonky Wing Stay!

This is my first post here - so firstly Hi all! - So I am a proud new Caterham owner, when I bought the car it was second hand (2011), I always wanted to build one from scratch, but quite frankly I didn't have the space to build one so I opted for a car I can upgrade and work on as budget permits over the coming years.

To cut a long story short, the previous owner had overtightened the cycle wings and caused a few large cracks to split across them, the left hand wing was always very slightly off centre but I had always assumed this was due to the holes drilled into the wing stays not being straight. However...no matter how much effort I put into measuring and making sure the new wings were drilled in line, the new wing still looked slightly off...upon further inspection it looks like the wing stay has taken a knock at some point and is a bit misaligned - I guess my main question is does anyone know the best way to "persuade" the wing stays back into their correct position?

Just eat your porridge and bend them. You can also make the top fixing hole (at the ball joint) a little bigger to allow some adjustment, and put washers under the stub axle mounting point too. But it is difficult to get a perfect match each side.

Good news is I had porridge this morning...so will give that a go, the washers may also work looking at the way it is misaligned...will report back.

The brand new wing stays I got with my kit this year weren't perfectly aligned.

I just used a tube and my hands to 'persuade' them into the right position.

2nd the tube idea, get them as close to matching then bond the arch on with copious amounts of tiger seal.
