Hey,

So I just had my rear arches repaired and resprayed (there was a small crack at the bottom) as im the second owner I hadn't really looked before but the rear lights seem to be held in with 4 self tapping screws...is this normal? Seems somewhat crude...and since putting it all back together the top two screws don't grab as well any more..my worry is if I drive it as is, the lights will come loose and scratch the paint!

Andy yes its normal, maybe crude but its how they fix don't over tighten the screws but if they are loose you could place some fixings behind them and as far as scratching the car is concerned its going to get scratched anyway drive and enjoy

It is correct, but horrible.

Once my car was IVA'd, I replaced the hideous screws with long bolts.
I inserted them from inside the arch so the nuts are protected within the light unit, and used nyloc nuts with plenty of grease.
