Just returned from another track day and have experienced some heavy clunk noise from rear when turning sharp and under heavy speed in a curve. when turning left it comes from right side and turning right from the left. car is from 1996 and seller told me no diff. car drives fine but still am a bit worried about it. all comments appreciated. thx Michael

Could be the A frame bushes. it's a common problem, more so with live axle cars. They are not expensive to buy.

Most likely A frame bushes. I replace mine every 2k miles as a matter of routine. Ten minute job and if Caterham don't have 'em, you can buy them on e-bay.

Short answer - yes. Put the car on axle stands, undo the bolt and dig the old ones out. Put the new ones in place and use a big pair of vice grips to squeeze the two of them together into the A frame. Put the bolt back in and you're done.
