HPC vauxhall 2.0lt Oil Foam Baffle

Just got a Caterham HPC with the Vauxhall 2.0 lt red top engine. I want to do an oil change and have read in several forums that it is advisable to change the foam sump baffle.

Caterham site says out of stock. Can anyone advise me where I can get one from, I have spent a lot of time searching the net but cannot find a supplier.

Not Vauxhall - not a Vauxhall part.
It is advisable to replace every 2 years to prevent it from turning to something resembling crispy seaweed, breaking up and blocking oilways.

Pretty sure I got mine from Redline when I changed mine earlier in the year.
Cost is ridiculous now. I remember it wasn't that many years ago that I was paying no more than £15. Nearer £50 now!

Is it that hard to cut some foam?

A company in Austria is offering a metal baffle replacement which I may look at next time.

Hi snapper, thanks for the info. I looked on redline but could not find the foam baffle. My wife is German and we are in Germany at the moment + the Caterham. Any info you have on the Austrian supplier of the alternative aluminium baffle would be great. The wife can talk to them if they dont speak English.

Ignore Redline's website, it's very generic. Best to call Mick or John on INT [phone].
They carry huge stock of parts, particularly for the older Sevens such as ours.

I don't know anyone who runs one so don't know how good it is, how easy it is to fit or if modifications are required etc.
