The exhaust is the wrong side for a start, it would be much cheaper in the long run to sell the car and buy a duratec engined one.
An original Caterham supplied duratec car will hold its value much better than a heavily modified car as well.

I tried it. laugh
Worked out well in the end but it wasn't a completely trouble free build.
Have a Duratec conversion from Raceline including the smaller bell housing, engine mounts and exhaust. Engine loom from PJD Wiring which turned out wasn't 100% plug and play and we discovered the color coding of the cable loom wasn't 100% correct.
Used an Emerald I already had but ask me today and I would have ordered the Omex from Raceline, pre programmed so I could get the car running like it should from the start.
As said above, you're probably better off swapping the whole car but for me it was no option. Too much memories with Lewinsky.

I'm on it. Raceline 2.0 Duratec-R 250 on its way home very soon. I expect (hope) to be a very trouble free swap. I'll report by Christmas time.

Done the swop to Duratec on my previous Zetec installation what is the same effort than from a K. Very pleased with the result. All together I payed a premium of 4k€ including the 250HP engine and parts. For sure I wouldn't have found any Duratec S3 near to what my car has cost me now. Cheers Volker

One of the 21 vhpd owners did this a while back. Not straightforward I gather but it seems to work.
