Hi all,

When i drive over small extruding irregularities on the road (say 2cm tall) and the suspension compresses quickly to run over the obstacle i can hear a distinctive "clonk-ing" sound coming from the rear right suspension as if the dedion was touching some part of the chassis.
I checked the car from underneath with the rear wheel off but could not find any signs of contact.
Can you give me some hints of what this can be?
Thanks

Different car similar problem.

Broken exhaust hanger.

May need to look outside the box, so to speak!

And if you have a rear anti roll bar fitted it could be the bushes too.

Check the upper Roll Bar bolt which is above the top of the damper.

It should be a reduced height head on the bolt. Even if it has this reduced height head and even with the very small clearance you get once the bush in the damper gets worn the damper can flex upward and knock the bolt/chassis.

Feels like a direct hit!
