Had a great trackday at Knutstorp when all dried up. But when wet my advan 048 was trying to kill me in so many ways. SO big question, can anyone point me in the direction of some tyres great for track on a rainy day or for that big tour in the alps. Best of all if they come in 14". Have a great day out there. I've found the ZZS great in the wet - unfortunately they aren't available in 14" though.

I've used Uniroyal Rainexperts on a 14" wheel before. Good touring tyre, good in the wet on track, but definitely not as wet track tyre, al la ZZS or AO21Rs of old, if you see what I mean. Search for Caterham Uniroyal on here for various threads.

Toyo 888's are much better than the 48's in the wet

Get a spare set of wheels and buy some wets. I used to get mine used from formula Renault teams, brilliant in the wet, but more like inters.

They used to cost me £25 each used.

I did a soaking wet Car Limits day yesterday in a Seven fitted with 185 x60x14 Uniroyal Rain Experts. Really predictable handling and loads of fun. I only span once when I entered the high speed turn way faster than before on my last go biggrin
