Hi all do you know what the number on the chassis next to where the roll bar bolts on stands for?

AM is Arch Motors, J2 is "Jig 2", they have 2 jigs on which they made the chassis.

Can't help with the rest.

AM = Arch Motors
99 = year of manufacture
J2 = Jig 2 (I don't think they have used Jig 1 in years)
4593 = frame number, i.e. the serial number of the chassis

Great thank you gentlemen
My caterham Chassis number plate located inside the engine bay is different.
I remember i was once told by caterham Arch Motors do not use the carterham chassis number so i guess they must have their own.

Arch make the chassis, so they give it a number for their records.

Caterham are the ones that dish out the chassis numbers, so the two are unrelated.
