Polishing aluminum
Discussion
Hi all,
About half a year ago i decided to remove the paint from my bonnet and shuttle.
I applied plenty of paint remover, sand paper, eccentric polishing machines, magic sponges and all kind of polishing products.
However despite plenty of hours spent ( well over 30 or most probably even more) the result was not as expected and the panels had a cloudy reflection.
Today after applying some special protecting wax (or something like it) to my freshly painted wheels i thought of doing the same to the nose cone and wings because the product was leaving a very thick protecting layer and seemed like a good idea to test and protect the panels.
Obvious thing to test next was on the alu panels.
What a surprise!!! the result was astonishing...
In about an hour on the shuttle and bonnet i had the shine i was after.
If you are after a clean shinny alu panel please test the wheel protecting wax. The result is very good and requires very little effort.
