Im hearing rumours that the top car has had accident damage/repairs, so Im not so sure....
The car at Millwood looks much nicer aesthetically to me, and is only marginally down on power....

It’s definitely worth investigating if the accident claims are correct. If it is recorded, then that will almost certainly affect the value of the car. If it has sustained any chassis damage, but it’s been repaired by Arch, then the repair should be as good as new, so I wouldn’t let that bother me too much.
As for the asththetics, it’s only really a black pack and nose band between them. Both relatively easy things to do and it gets you started on the enevitable upgrading path!
Providing it stacks up, I still stand by the first, premier power upgraded one being the one to go for. Probably the best thing would be to go and view them both.

This will be a dream car for me, that Ive wanted for over 15 years, so to say IM excited is a huge understatement....

Correct yes the first car has had accident damage but the chassis was repaired by arch motors who do all the caterham chassis repairs. I find it hard to understand why this car is so cheap, yet the owner has been honest and told the truth about its history.
Buying a Caterham that's had an accident isn't as bad as buying a normal car that's had a accident. Generally all chassis the repairs are carried out by Arch whos work is excellent and you wouldn't know the difference between this and a non crashed car. I wouldn't worry. Most people are more than happy to buy an ex race car without worrying about it's history.

Hi Stuart, I spoke to Damian @ GP7s and he was very opne and honest about the whole situation with the car. Sadly the whole Cat D stigma definitely applies to Caterhams. I bought one without even worrying about it. The price was good, but not super cheap. The car had been rebuilt from a new replacement chassis, so was in fantastic condition. That was all good for me, But selling it was a complete pain in the backside. I got so fed up in the end, it went at a low price just to get rid. So there are a few buyers who don't mind the cat D, but they are actually few and far between. I don't regret it, it was a great car, which probably cost me about 3k more than it should in the end.

If that's the case, try an R300 at Millwood while you're there. Reading the adverts, it sounds like the blue R300 has all the track gear and the text is duplicated on the black/green one. Jon is a great guy to deal with. There's a reason people buy, then trade back to him for a second and third car.The green stripes would have to go mind....

The spec on the blue and green car is perfect. I agree with the colour scheme though....
Are you on the Facebook Caterham - Marketplace group? There are regularly great cars for sale on there, including the one described below. Slightly lower spec than the others however, for the price you cant go wrong.

I like the Millwood car (I got mine from them - Jon is great) as it's Sigma and has an easy power upgrade installed.
