Anyone had experience of a clunking noise from the rear of the when pulling away and turning at the same time it's on a 2011 supersport with an lsd got a horrible feeling it could be a diff rebuild

Plate diffs need servicing, so it could well be that time....

These guys know this stuff inside out and have a great reputation....

I Vote for the Bush. Mine did that prior and after the rebuilt so not a diff problem. I always thought it was caused by slack in the drive shaft cv joints though....

Sorry had live axle on my mind (been working on my dads!) They are certainly known for going!

Still could a frame bush where it goes on the de-dion

Although my newly built academy car has a very slight 'clunk' which I think is just UJ slack.

It’s normal, plate diffs sometimes make a pretty alarming clatter when pulling away at low speed with some lock on.

I don't think there is one in a De-dion in the same way that there is in a live axle. There's a metalastic bush in the de-dion but it's not going to wear at the rate they do in a live axle and its not going to make the racket that the live axle ones do when they go because they are big rubber top hats.

Yeah I agree, it's unlikely - but something to check.

As above - it's probably just a normal noise

I had the exact same thing. The noise was so bad I booked in to have it rebuilt at the trans place in Kent, took it to DPR to get it taken out and they filled it with their “special oil” and it’s perfect and quiet. GET NEW OIL!
