Where can I hire a Caterham from for a day or two please? I have an itch to scratch long term, when I have sufficient garage space for one. My current weekend car is a 911 Turbo & this would be in addition to that as & when I buy something even more visceral than a Porsche.

This would just be for road work. I'm 6'1" tall, so an SV chassis, I suspect.

Any Caterham driving newbie tips would be appreciated too smile

Not a hire but Caterham are doing a test drive event at the moment, it looks like you could get in at Silverstone Caterham if you're quick

Make a proper weekend of it. Head to Scotland, Wales or somewhere similar with a wide election of decent driving roads.

Both Scotland and Wales have resident caterham hire companies that will sort you out.

I've been promising myself a day in one. https://caterhamhirewales.co.uk/ are local to us and, amusingly, not *actually* in Wales. But close!

That’s a good shout, thank you. Which companies?

Thanks, but I can’t make that date. I will go and see Caterham Silverstone though. They list hire on their website but no further details, so it might be track cars only.

Caterhamcarhirewales would be a good shout. They are on the Welsh border based at the very good Herefordshire Raceway kart track. You are straight onto great roads from their premises.
You could make a weekend of it with some karting thrown in.

Fly to Edinburgh and it’s then a short bus journey up to Kinross. Ian will help you out with a choice of cars and route suggestions to fully enjoy the Caterham experience.

I have only used Highland Caterham Hire, based in Elgin myself. Two fabulous trips around the western top of the highlands with them prompted me to purchase my own Seven six years ago.
