Anyone recommend the best place to get an R500 Mot'd. Understand it can be tricky to get them through. Suggestions gratefully recieved.

my suggestion is to find your local 7 specialist who in turn probably has a tame MOT inspector....I use Hyperion in Great Maplestead, Suffolk

I have the oldest R500 there is and have never had a problem with getting an MOT (famous last words).
Currently done by my local garage.

Hello again

Shouldn't be too much of a problem with the cat in place. I'd probably take it back to Caterham and let them deal with it though.

Depends on how well it has been mapped.

Back on topic briefly, if you're in the Epsom area try Chequers Lane Garage on Walton Heath. Joe (the proprietor) keeps a tight ship, but he loves interesting cars, so he wouldn't be a git with it. He always passes my mates Fisher Fury

Thanks very much, never seen that before.

Yes that's mine, 7 DUO (as was). It has different wheels on now, and the back end doesn't hang out quite as much as when Tiff had it, but otherwise the same. Chassis no.1, it was the presss car for 8,000 miles, then I took it from the factory.

Now down 28,000 and still going well.
