My late father and I built an early sprint/supersprint (its got a 1660cc xflow in it so sort of halfway between) I've been looking for insurance however being 19 years of age youth isn't on my side this time!!
Obviously being a caterham ( all be it a fairly tame one) insurers love to stick that whopping great big group 20 badge on it. So looking for road insurance (track hasn't been an issue for price) is a sobering process the premiums are ridiculous. I have the advanced driver qualification and 3 years ( I got an extra year free) no claims. I find it stupid that I easily get insured on a 1.8 mg tf for around £1k pa which is a car of similar performance in terms of power to weight ratio. Is there anywhere that will insure me on this car for a reasonable price and more importantly for 6 months rather than a year (as the car is garaged over winter)

Cheers

Chris

What about limited miles, say 3K or 5K per year?
