oil filter for k series r400

Local dealer changing oil/filter do i need to buy the filter from caterham or is it a motor factor part the oil that has been used in the car from day 1 is mobil 0 40 just the filter im unsure

They are just a regular Rover/MG filter, just make sure you get a decent quality one, at the factors ask for one to fit an MGF, Rover 214/216/200/400.
