As per title, where is the best place to buy carbon indicator pods, rear light blocks etc?

Is there any variation in the quality between 7-Speed, Carbon bits etc

Bling ? Bling ? What do you mean, these are essential weight saving devices you know smile

I have a fair amount of stuff from Carbon Bits, and it is very good. And even the 2nds look good to my untrained eye.

I have bought items from both and found them to be good quality although I bought from Carbon bits before it changed hands.
I gather the new owners are getting things in order so have no reason to think they would be substandard.
If you're feeling flush try http://www.westermann-motorsport.com/shop/index.ph...

I picked up a set from 7-Tips at the Autosport show. Very nice quality and finish. Also a 7 club discount is available if you're on board. Simon might be persuaded to do a deal for PHers if not, he's a reasonable chap anyway.

I have a pair of carbon headlights from Mog Racing (Westermann Motorsport) and the quality is excellent.

I'd be interested to know whats bad, as I'll be on the lookout for some headlights, indicator pods, rear light blocks, reverse and fog light boxes.
I was thinking of sourcing them from MOG.
I may be interested in some of their seats too, so quite a bit of stuff.

Come on now DA, there is more than one 7 owner in Wales, don't think you're correct in your assumption this time

I believe and I am very prepared to be corrected that this comment on quality of German parts might stem from the construction of some of them? I seem to remember that some of their body parts were carbon on the outside with a sandiwch of GRP in the middle. This meant they gave the carbon look and did contain genuine carbon, but perhaps weren't as light as pure carbon. Please check with them though as I don't want to unfairly dimiss their products based on limited knowledge of them.

My CF headlamps are carbon throughout, but as you state some items may well be a carbon/glass fibre sandwich.

As I thought might be the case. I get annoyed by people dismissing products based on little or no knowledge, so good to have someone who has them update on this! I know MOG have done bits for Sevens for a long time and that the owner is a passionate Caterham owner and driver too.

I have been guided to this thread by a friend who highlighted the above post by Devils Advocate.

I do not know who you are but you clearly do not know me as a person and the way I operate or speak to/about people. Neither do you have the right to make such accusations about me or 7 Tips Racing Ltd.

As a point of fact. I have MOG Carbon wings on my car and I can confirm they are strong enough to withstand a substantial "off" into the greenery at Wisconbe a couple of years ago. There wasn't much of anything else left:rollseyes:

I have been selling Carbon Mods products now for some months and prior to the Autosport Show also came to an initial agreement with Joachim (MOG/Westerman) to also sell his products in the UK. I also have a new manufacturer I am working with. Joachim and I have been so busy since the show that I have yet to get images to add to my website of MOG products.

I currently have one customer who is ordering a set of MOG wings front and rear. I will have MOG Seats at Stonleigh in May for people to try out.

Each of the manufacturers have different methods of producing their product and I can explain this to anyone who would care to contact me. Some products will have different benefits to others. Its like everything out there - people have a choice. I'd like to think that I am able to offer that choice from full Pre Preg to composite or wet lay up.

I'm not aware of who the poster of the statement about MOG was but I fail to see why it would be me when I sell the products. Other than that its not the way I operate.

You may also see that this is my first post here on PH as I stick to Blatchat.

I hope "taffyracer" will confirm that it was not me - however now that he/she sees that I sell the brand I doubt they will comment.

I have not and will not request moderation of your post as I hope others will see my response and be able to make their own judgement as to the identity of the person.

As I say happy to talk with anyone.

I have MOG wings and nose on my car. They are good quality GRP parts with a c/f top layer, but they are not full c/f.
