Best bet for £25-30K for a tall driver and a little touring?

I'm told the 260CSR lacks a little immediacy, but at the same time I want something comfortable enough to tour occasionally. Is there a compromise? I'm guessing a superlight will be too harsh? I need the SV chassis but which set up? Thanks.

A CSR would be ideal, properly set up they are lovely!

I haven't driven an SV or CSR, but obviously you could afford a new Roadsport 175 SV which is sold as being a good tourer.

Probably best to go to the showroom and try both and see which you prefer. It'll be a nice day out in any case

I'm 6'3" and found that a CSR with the std dash rather than the modular one gave the most amount of leg room.

Im 6'4 and drove Caterhams 175 SV Roadsport and would say its the perfect car for me.Loads of room, enough performance for the road and comfortable anough to cruise in.

Yes, the 175 SV keeps coming up. EVO magazine describe it as the everyday caterham. Time to get test driving. How exciting Thanks for the replies.

I am 6'5" and test drove (at Caterham South) on Saturday a CSR with the std dash. It provided enough space and was very impressive...

An SV for sure will suit your height, it just depends from there which model best suits your needs.

Lowered floors can be retro-fitted too, which if you are long in the body can drop you a little lower taking you out of the wind blast.
