Sticker removal safely

Morning,

I'm off to Le Mans this year and planning to sticker up a bit. They will be supplied by hollographics, applied on top of a fresh coat of wax, and when removed it'll be done carefully using the aid of a hair dryer.

Do I need to be concerned about paint lift/peeling?

The car is a 2006 with factory paint plus the usual stone chips etc.

I know Ginger Bread Man, who frequents these pages has stickered up before, so GBM, if you are on here, can you tell me I have nothing to worry about

In my experience, you'll be fine. You haven't got fresh paint to either come off or fade around the stickers. Nor is it old enough to be fragile!

Bit of WD40 arounds the edges also helps loosen/dissolve the adhesive.

I made some home made stickers last year, which I made a bit less sticky by sticking them down on the leg of my jeans before putting them on the car. Also applied a good layer of wax polish to the car first and removed by peeling over backwards rather than lifting upwards, aided by a hair dryer.

I don't have any spare jeans to put on my car.

Thanks all for your comments and advice.

I have just resubmitted my order to Dan (who's been extremely helpful!). We'll be playing it safe avoiding the larger stickers.

May see some of you in France we'll be 2 Caterhams, one Red and one Yellow with smallish stickers!
