I see there's been an ad circulating Facebook about the above, same as VW employing cheat devices to bypass emission tests. A company called milberg limited llp are pursuing the case to secure compensation for up to 500,000 Vauxhall owners.

Anyone know anything about this one? Sounds too big to be an internet scam/data farming.

Yep. Just had me recall letter inviting me for a free software update for my 2016 Astra. Which apparantly will cause no loss of performance and no increase in fuel consumption.

A thread on the Vauxhall U.K. forum says otherwise and I don’t think I want this software update. Though I’m a bit worried will it cause mot issues down the line?

It’s really bad that Vauxhall were carrying on doing this even after VW had been busted.

My wife just the same letter for her 2015 Citi Eco flex Astra.
I don't think she should get it done, the car is working fine as it is
