Please look at the following leak, its about the cooling system.

It should have a clear coolant tank with only one pipe leading from the top. No idea what was underneath that bonnet. Do you have a picture per chance??

No i don't im affraid.

It deffo had 2 pipes though.

also if it makes any diffrence it was a 1.7 CDTi Sportive.

Has the coolant top right of the engine area. Also seems to have two pipes coming out of it. Never noticed that. I've never seen the coolant do as you have described and seems on the main thread others say it is normal.
