Hugely Impressed With Logitec Steering Wheel
Discussion
Yesterday I purchased the Logitec GT steering wheel on a whim, now I'm not a massive gamer but do enjoy the odd bit of GT here an there.
Just can't get over what a difference it makes!
The ability to gently engage the throttle, judge cornering speeds, gearing, brake play just make the game exactly what it should be. I've never spend so long on the playstation!
If anyone is still using the pad then I can't recommend trying one of these enough it beats the arse off smooshing buttons! I know there have been a few threads here about "which wheel" but I thought a green gamers point of view may be of interest!
Brilliant purchase although I have to say its still no substiute for the real thing. I am lucky enough to own an elise and if mine handled like that on track I'd of binned the thing in the first day of ownership

I've had one of these for about 6 months now, and i have to agree, it's awesome. I bought it for F1 2010 on the PC (after a fair bit of peer pressure!), and my interest in racing games has gone from none whatsoever to as much interest as my usual FPS shenanigans.
My only criticism is that the clamps could be a bit easier to do up. I find by hand it's not tight enough, and using something as a lever on the inside of the tightening screw things has caused a couple of the fins inside to break.
Being able to move the sequential shift to the left of the wheel would be nice too, but i tend to use the paddles so it doesn't bother me.
A couple of minor points however, against a great steering feel and good build quality. At £80 it was a bit of a bargain too!
