Red Dead normal or undead?

Done with GTA and looking at red dead but do I get the normal one or the zombie one?

Also, why is the zombie one half the price?

AS far i as know the Zombie is an addon pack for the main game. Both are pretty good fun.

zombie one is an add on, so thats why cheaper, although if you buy the disk version then it will run a s standalone game.

get the normal version

RDR:UN is an add on, tho available standalone, it's no where near as long a game.

Neither is it as good. RDR is designed as a 'pop and cover' game you can't do that with RDR:UN which takes away some of the game IMO.

Plus if you played that first you wouldn't get half of the jokes.

Yeah definitely play RDR, awesome game! Although it is a bit hard to get the achievements... Some of them I will never be able to get.

The online is a bit cack too; no-one can be bothered to work co-op and they all spend the whole time trying to kill you...

I agree with the majority, go for the normal RDR, it was the best game of 2010 for me. Who'd have though riding round on your horse shooting birds out if the sky would be so much fun! Watch out for the cougars though...

Indeed, Original RDR has a great story line and voice acting, some cool mechanics, and cool moments.

Just remember, keep playing until you see the credits! It's not over til it's over.

I actually love the multiplayer, it's one of the few games I bother to play online. If you posse up with mates or join a decent one then it's great - other wise it's great fun when you get a big killfest and you can knock out headshots consistently.

So, if like me you have the Undead version and have played through that, do you think it spoils the full version? (Which I don't have, but is available for about £18 these days)

I enjoyed the Undead one, but it was a bit to lacking in variation to keep me coming back for more - Town A is under attack / rescue town A / Town B is under attack / rescue Town B / repeat / repeat etc... Got a bit wearing to be honest.

Catching The Horses of the Apocalypse was fun, and getting the different guns was good, but I doubt I'll play it again to try for the achievements.

Well you've possibly had the storyline partly spoilt for you, but you'll still enjoy the game anyway, the missions are far more varied. It's well well worth getting IMO.

There is an option in the menu to check how long you have been playing for. Mine was embarassingly long.

I prefer the normal one as the scenery is nice and you can take your time doing things. I prefer to play that way. With the undead game it is always dark and if you stop in the middle of nowhere to fart you have a bunch of zombies crawling all over you.

Only sad part was the hang glider section.

Beavers are only found on the last section of the map you open up, in Tall Trees and the Great Plains. It's a pain as after you meet that guy it's a lot further into the game before you get access to that area.

If you look on the map inside the case it tells you where most animals are.

My favourite game of 2010, get both! I haven't played undead yet but I plan to.

I loved looking for the plants and animals, it was brilliant just trundling around the whole map. Got them all in the end
