Looks like a 2D version of Dwarf Fortress, Minecraft and a Platformer game all mixed in to one.
Looks quite interesting, out on monday on Steam apparantly.

I got this when it first came out and had a lot of fun with it, especially when playing online with a mate. The latest update for it, which came out a month or two ago, added a huge amount of content and I went back to it and its quite a bit better now. I'd say its worth buying and playing for sure.
I bought Starbound recently as well, and as good as it is, I'm reluctant to recommend it over Terraria, purely because its still unfinished. You can expect your game to be wiped every time they release a new patch, which for me at least is killing my enthusiasm to build complex structures and grind my way to better gear.
There's a lot more to do in Starbound compared to Terraria, but for the time being, if you can only get one, I'd say go with Terraria if you want a stable game that won't get wiped every few months.

Loving it so far. I have it on Android, Vita, and PC

I've done quite a bit of exploring on the Android instance. I have three residences built, and I keep getting messages saying that 'someone' would like to settle, but I can't find that person..

There are a handful of NPC's that will appear when you meet certain criteria, but they won't be able to 'move in' to your home until you make a room for them. IIRC you need a room of a certain size with at least a table and chair in it, then they will move into that room and wander about your base.Off the top of my head the Trader is one of the first that will appear, and the criteria is reaching a certain amount of money in your pocket. Defeating bosses or doing other accomplishments will lead the remaining NPC's to appear - all of whom need a room to move into if you want them at your base. Otherwise they just hang around wherever they spawn.

As I alluded to above, once you reach the criteria they will appear somewhere on the map. Once you have a room made they will eventually move to your base. It can take a little while, and normally happens when you move away from your base for some time, but when you come back they should have appeared there.Edited by Brigand on Tuesday 21st January 18:47

My houses all seem to meet the criteria. Here's my 'main residence'
I'll keep playing and see if anything happens.
I think you might have to have the back walls in stone/wood or something other than dirt. I do remember in the distant past that you couldn't set a bed as a spawn point unless your room had stone/wood floors, back wall and lighting. Not sure if thats still the case though.
The guide comes and goes, and is next to useless anyway! And thats one heck of a quiff you have too!

Anyone still playing this? I bought this on Steam for the PC a while back, and still putting in the odd half hour here and there.
One of the few games that draws me back to beat multiple times, even better with the kids in local multiplayer splitscreen via Universal Splitscreen.I had 100% achievements before the update last year. I'll probably try the Calamity mod at some point too.
Also looking forward to trying it on the Steamdeck.
