There is an update coming to us all which adds Paypal connection to xbox live, adds an extra disk format to the xbox & has some kind of anti piracy stuff included.

If you have an older xbox then it seems this update may well knacker it completely, which isn't bad news actually as Microsoft are replacing affected consoles with new 250GB models & 1 year free gold live:
