As the title says really! What is the best way to get rid of some old games (some playstation, sega saturn, possibly n64 by not likely, gamecube and some xbox games), or would I be better off just chucking them away(or charity shop)? Got a few consoles aswell, dont know where to take them and I cant be arsed with the hassle of ebay.

Cheers.

Take them to CEX or game/gamestation. They'll buy them for money.

Freecycle or Freegle the lot. Just list the games and someone will take them.

List the games on here, if people are interested say £5 a game including postage, paid by PayPal then Charity shop the rest. smile

Maybe you could get £5 a game on ebay where everyone's a winner but in the real world, they'd be given away on Freecycle as they're retro vintage old. On here, I'd give them away if people cover P&P.

Ebay? I've sold loads of old games, many of them went for way more than I was expecting!

I sold all my old games on eBay. They didn't go for much individually (apart from Majora's Mask) but taken together it was worth it, even after fees/packing costs etc. And they all went, even Fifa '95 for the Megadrive.

I'd pay the P&P if you would send them all to me, I have 1000's of games and never turn down some on the cheap smile I have a list of consoles as long as my arm smile

But put them on ebay for 99p each with £1.75 postage each and you may make a lil money, not a lot but better than none. 99p is free listong too so you don't get charged if they don't sell smile

I sometimes buy retro games on Ebay, you'd be surprised, the market for them is quite healthy. If you have anything rare/ good condition you can expect a decent sum.

I have a brand new in box mario 64, still got the cellophane on it. Anyone know if its worth much, or should I just keep it on my shelf?

What would you package a game in to sell it on ebay? Id be afraid of the case breaking. And the consoles Im looking to get rid of are unboxed.

Id never heard of CEX before, theres a store not too far from here so I might go check that out.

Cheers.

If it's an original copy, in good nick....

Personally for things that are fragile I use cardboard boxes, or cut some cardboard into a box, and use lots of bubble wrap.

Dont just rely on ebay, check Amazon. I got some old original xbox games in a job lot of stuff I bought one day, found one of the games worth £25 on Amazon (and it sold) and another worth £17 (also sold) covered the cost of the whole purchase.
