FIFA 11 - who have you bought in Manager Mode?

After a mini toys outta the pram moment when the Incredible Sulk buggered off to Chelsea, I abandoned my Manager Mode Liverpool team and concentrated on my Virtual Pro for a while.
Anyway, starting a new Manager season, don't quite want to do things the same way.
Last time my better buys were:
Vucinic from Roma - knocked in shed-loads from a left-forward position;
Honda from CSKA;
Fabio Coentrao from Benfica.
David Luiz not an option since I started my new game with the updated squads. Messi wouldn't leave Barca no matter what I offered in wages, even when the club agreed to sell.
Sold the likes of N'gog (b
ks), Maxi (already 29 y/o), and gave Pacheco and Kelly lots of games to build their stats.
So, who did you buy/drop, and were they any good? And do you allow yourself to be influenced by your allegiances or footy gossip column rumours?
