So, finally, after 21 years, granted only a few were actually spent playing the game, and mostly when I was 6-8... I have gotten around to finishing:

....I have to say... rather a disappointing finale after such a long time...

Anyone else managed to take such an epic amount of time to complete a game?

Same amount of years....Dungeon Master. Played when I was 12. Finally completed it when I found a emulator copy last month. Current age, 33.

What helped was that I originally played it on my Atari STfm with upgraded RAM (from 512kb to a whole 1024kb !), it was something like 8 disks and took ages to load each level. Where as, on the emulator, I raced through the game in a day.

But what a day!

Maupiti Island took me a similar time. We had to translate the original cryptic french solution into english. Even then it was far from straightforward, and the finale a bit of a letdown.
