I've changed jobs and now have a lengthy train commute. The guy next to me had a PSP with football manager... which sounds great as I'm an addict of the PC version

Firstly, what do the different versions of the PSP mean? Are the later versions more "powerful"? I have seen 1000, 2000, 3000 and PSP Go.

Secondly, how does Football Manager play on a handheld? With so much data, is it quite slow or does it cope ok? If I buy the 2011 version will it play on any PSP version or just the latest model?

Tip - Buy a PSP that can easily run custom firmware (Google it).

I tried the first PSP iteration (2008?) as a long time FM fan and it's a pale imitation of the PC version.

But not bad for a commute nevertheless.

Thanks for replies.

Jackal, what does custom firmware do? Make it run better or simply ability to use homebrew etc?
