I ask as my local game shop has closed. I've used them for years and always managed to get games early.

Other than Play and Amazon, Anyone suggest good places to get games for the 360 and PS3.

After seeing many posts in the past on games pre ordered from the above places and not arriving I thought I would ask where you guys and gals get their games from

+1

They do good deals on older games too.

Shopto.net for me

Partly because they are 5 miles away so guaranteed next day delivery, even had same day before.

If not Amazon has also had plenty of my money, both cone highly recommended from me.

I don't trust Shopto at all, too many times they've been hacked and peoples details have been stolen.

Don't agree with topping up an online wallet either, just seems dodgy to me.

Admittedly though they do seem to have very good deals.

That happened once not "too many times" and they got fined massively for it and now have an insanely secure infrastructure.

As for an online wallet, I have no idea what you're talking about, I've only ever paid via my card as per any other site.

Shopto, never had a problem, every game either 1 or 2 days early with the exception of COD:BO, so I bought it in Sainsbury's and sent the Shopto one back.

I'd be wary of shopto for the time being, they have stopped paying out to their affiliate partners, which is usually a sign of impending money problems...

Affiliate Future sent out the following email last week

"Dear affiliate,

Shop.to is closed on the AffiliateFuture network with immediate effect.

We are attempting to recover payment from the merchant for their outstanding commissions to publishers. If and when we receive payment we will then pay any commissions due in our next payment run.

We have proposed a solution to Shopto whereby we would credit any Network override due and they simply pay the commissions owed to AffiliateFuture publishers to us and we would then transfer funds to the end publisher on our next pay run. Unfortunately Shopto are unwilling to accept this offer which leaves us with no other choice but to cancel the program immediately.

The matter now rests with our Credit Control department and we will continue to push for payment from Shop.to and keep you regularly updated on our progress. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience.”"

ShopTo.net for me, used them for years, and always get my pre-orders the day before release. Top stuff. Cheap too.

Shopto for me too, superb, I used to use play but after the delivery slipped to anytime after a week or so and the prices stopped being the best or even close to it I gave up.

Once is one too many.

When I signed up to them a few years ago, you had to add funds to a wallet rather than just paying straight from the card, like on the Playstation network.

If that's changed since they got hacked/fined/sorted things out then fair enough but I still don't trust them in the slightest.
